"Degen der infanterie officieren, verguld" Bataafse Republiek 1800-1810". Very good spadroon blade with decorations. German maker's logo S.&J. in gold on the ricasso and Solinger mark on the blade spine. Blade is somewhat greying with some very light peppering. Very good gilt brass boat hilted sword with a wooden grip, covered with black leather and a twisted copper wire winding. Straight crossguard with two quillons. Brass plumed helmet pommel showing clear French influenze and single knuckle bowl.
Very good en correct black leather scabbard with al stitches intact and excellent brass top mount and brass chape with two small dents. No schrinking.
Beautiful Napoleonic area spadroon!
