Dutch Infantry officers sword M 1852 by S. de Jager. -Haarlem. (JP84-130)
"Nederlands Infanterie officiers sabel M 1852 " / Dutch Infantry officers sword M 1852. Excellent bright finished curved fullered wide blade with German makers trademark: Knight helmet and Kingshead (= Weyersberg -Kirschbaum-Solingen. Trademark used till 1918) on the ricasso and the Dutch retailer's name and residence: S. de Jager - Haarlem in two lines in a scroll on the right side of the blade. The Dutch quality mark: YZERHOUWER in a scroll on the left side. Red felt washer intact.
Beautiful and excellent detachable M 1852 gilt brass hilt with a cast gilt brass pommel and an one piece black horn grip, with a twisted silver wire winding. Gilt brass hand guard with side bar. Crossguard with forward swept guillon. Horn grip is missing a chip and the wire winding is not 100% complete.
Very good Berlin-silver scabbard with a single loose hanging ring. There are several small dents and some user spurs to the Berlin-silver scabbard.
Dutch M 1852 Infantry officers officers sword in an Excellent- condition! Made around 1900.
Total length 99 cm. Width at ricasso 3,0 cm.
