French Heavy Cavalry (Dragoon) trooper sword M 1822. Superb, very heavy large bright finished double fullered curassier blade. Blade spine is crisp marked Mfture Imple Du Klingenthal October 1813. Ricasso with two crisp French inspection markings: L in a circle (= Inspector Francois Lobstein 1804-1829). Intact leather washer. 
Beautiful large brass hilt, covered by three outer brances that are connected to the knuckle bow and then to the barrel shaped pommel. Excellent dark brown grip with intact brass wire winding. Handguard is marked 903 and 3 more French inspection markings. 
Excellent straight bright finished steel scabbard with two loose hanging rings and no dents. Total length: 113 cm. Width at the ricasso 3,5 cm

This is a very heavy long impressive transitional French M 1822 Dragoon sword. Made after 1822 from a Napoleonic M 1813 blade and a M 1822 hilt. 
A beautiful and rare example, impossible to upgrade!
