Belgian M1874/89, modified French M 1874 Gras bayonet (ABC N 1508-2)

Belgian M 1889 Mauser rifle. Serial number: H 89378  Matching! on the guillon. Superb bright finished T- shaped blade, marked: Mre. de'Armes de St. Etienne. Febr. 1877 very crisp on the blade spine. Two French inspection markings on the crossguard. Excellent brass grip, extreme straight grinded, almost in line with the blade. Excellent wooden grips riveted to the blade tang. Diverse French inspection markings on the crossguard.  Mortise slot is marked: P.F  and blade tang with a small R.  Excellent bright finished crossguard with quillon and a not altered muzzle ring. MRD 17.4 mm.
Excellent+  matching steel scabbard with no dents.

This is not a German alteration for the M 1888 rifle but a rare Belgium modification of a French M 1874 Gras bayonet to fit the Belgium FN Mauser M 1889 rifle during WWI. 
Pretty rare bayonet, hard to find!
