Dutch Municipal Police short sword 1900.(No Ref.)

"Politie sabel van de Gemeente Politie ca. 1900". / Dutch Municipal Police short sword, around 1900. Superb bright plated pipe back blade. The crossguard shows a very faint trade mark of the German maker. Only the sword and a part of the H. are still visible. (= E. & F. HORSTER- SOLINGEN.  Excellent+ plated cast hilt. Large Dutch lion head pommel and a hilt with a hand guard and a single side bar. Beautiful grip covered with grey ray skin and a complex twisted silver wire windind.  Crossguard with a short forward swept quillon. Inside of the guard is fine decorated. 
No scabbard.
Total length:  79,5 cm. Width at the ricasso:  2,7 cm.
