Excellent+ curved bright finished fullered heavy blade. Intact leather washer. German makers trademark: Knight helmet (= C. R. Kirschbaum- Solingen) on the ricasso. Very rare Dutch retailers name and residence: A. H. KOORENBLIK over HAARLEM in a scroll on the left blade side and the Dutch proof mark YZERHOUER in a scroll on the reverse side. 
Excellent+ blued steel, more short than a standard hilt and a blued steel handguard with knuckle bow, three side bars and a forward swept quillon. 
Excellent+ wooden grip, covered with ray skin and a double twisted silver wire winding. 
Excellent blued steel scabbard with a single loose hanging ring. A single small dent near the draft only. 

Total length: 96,5 cm. Length of the hilt: 12,8 cm. (Normal length ca. 14 cm.) Width at the ricasso: 2,4 cm!. 

In 1895 the Dutch M 1876 cavalry officers sword also was issued to the Dutch Artillery (M1876/95 and to the KNIL  (M1876/95 KNIL). This Officers sword could also be, given the size of the sword and the bluing of the blade, used by an officer of the KNIL ( = Dutch east Indies army)
