Very early Dutch Grenadier Officers sword M 1852 by J.V.D.L. (JP84-131)

"Nederlandse Grenadier Officiers sabel M 1852" / Dutch Grenadier Officers sword M 1852. Excellent+ curved fullered bright finished blade. Left side of the blade is marked with the initionals of the Dutch retailer: J.V.D.L. (= J. Van Der Laat - Amsterdam)  and GARANTIE on the reverse side of the blade. Red washer intact. The hilt is detachable. there is a brass screw nut on top of the hilt. Beautiful large and massive brass lion head pommel. Brass single hand guard with King Willem III monogram under a Crown in silver. Brass crossguard with straight guillon and an achorn final. Two diamant shaped lanquets. Right side with flaming bomb in silver and the left lanquet with a flower motive. Excellent brown horn grip with an intact silver wire winding.
Beautiful early Berlin-Silver scabbard with two loose hanging rings and no serieus dents. Some user spurs only. 
Comes with a very good officers sword knot with a black cord, silver buillions and an orange core.
Total length: 92,5 cm. Width at the ricasso 2,8 cm.

This is the most beautiful Dutch designed Officer's sword. These very early models are quite scarce and hard to find!. 
This sword is made around 1860 or earlier,at the time the Regiment Grenadiers was not yet a Guard Regiment.
