Dutch Cavalry Troopers sword M 1895 No.3. (JP 90-148-149)

"Cavalerie Manschappensabel M 1895", Lange sabel No.3./  Dutch Cavalry Troopers sword M 1895. "Long sword" No.3. Superb heavy bright finished steel fullered curved long blade. Dutch inspection marking: Crown over Z (= Inspector Z. Wiersma. )crisp on the ricasso. 
Excellent++ dark blued large pierced bowl hand guard with 7 side bars. Inside of the guard with Dutch inspection mark: Crown over B (= Inspector E.B. Broissois). Dark blued detachable hilt with a rounded pommel and an Excellent+ fine ribbed wooden grip covered with black horse leather. Marked nut on the top of the pommel.
Excellent++ deep blued steel scabbard with a single loose hanging ring and no dents. Drag is crisp marked: Crown over B (= Inspector E.B. Brossois)

Total length 103 cm.  Width at the ricasso: 3,5 cm!.
Made around 1900 and totally blued in the years of the Dutch mobilisation before WWI  .
This M 1895 Calvary model was made and in service for a very short time only. 

An absolutely beautiful and quite rare Dutch cavalry troopers sword in a near MINT condition!
