German WWI M 1916 ersatz bayonet, altered and used by Turkey. (ABCN339 Variation)(K0)(JN0)(Anthony Carter EB 28)
Turkish M 1903/M 1935 Mauser rifle. Serial number: 9078 on the crossguard. Very good bright finished shortened fullered blade. The blade tang is fixed to the steel hilt by two visible steel pins. Excellent blued cast steel hilt with rounded pommel beak and rectangular oil hole on the back of the hilt. T-O slot in pommel. Mortise slot shortened by riveting a small block in the mortise slot. Old massive muzzle ring and crossguard filed away and a new crossguard with high muzzle ring riveted to the blade by two rivets. The hilt has been shortened. The alteration is very well done. MRD 16 mm.
Black painted steel shortened German ersatz scabbard with a Turkish M 1890 scabbard top mount braised to the steel body. There are a number of very small indentations to the scabbard body only, but not very serieus.
Total length: 36,9 mm. Blade length: 25 mm.
