Schmidt-Rubin M 1889-1900 short rifle and M 1911 carbine. Serial number 37036 on crossguard. Excellent blued cruciform blade. Excellent crossguard with bushed muzzle ring to fit the M 1911 carbine: MRD 14 mm. Pommel with T-slot. Crossguard is marked with a Swiss Cross.
No scabbard.
Scars bayonet, made from the blades of old M 1863 Peabody or M 1871 Vetterli socket bayonets. This one was made from a M 1871 Vertelli socket bayonet. These are also designated M 1889/92 and were used by bicycle troops.
