English No.9 MK 1. by Enfield (ABCN38-1)(K8)(JN61-4)

Lee Enfield 303 no.4 MK I. rifle and PM Sten MK 5. Minty bright finished fullered blade with Bowie tip. First 1.5 cm blackened and there is a small  /I\ marked on the ricasso. The reverse side shows a bending testmark: X.   Dark blued socket, marked: NO.9 Mk1 and Ð-52 (= Enfield 1952) and another /I\. Front of the socket is marked with an Enfield inspection marking: Ð over 13.
Excellent++ blackened scabbard with brass throat and no dents. Frog stud is double marked: Ð
Comes with a Minty English P 1937 No.6 khaki webbing frog with no retaining strap and an un-stitched eyelet in the single front loop. Stamped on the reverse side; CN 997 /I\ and an illeglible makers name and date PARKER...???.  (Ref.  Anthony Carter 172)
