Spanish M 1852 Cavalry and Guardia Civil percussion pistol. Kal. .70. by MAIZTEGUI. Overall in a good cleaned condition. Smooth bore barrel. Excellent black walnut stock. Very good percussion lock with unique nippel protector marked with an E. Actions are crisp and tight. Lock plate is dated 1852 over serial number 84. and Spanish crown, E.A. and makers name in a box MAIZT. (=L. M. Maiztegui) Barrel is marked 1852 over 84. Brass trigger guard, but cap and other brass parts are marked crown over V. Steel parts are marked VA. Belt hook on the left side is marked VA and perfect working swivel ramrod.
