Description
Mauser M 1893 kal. 7mm 5 shots. Serial number: N 9390 on crossguard. Second humpback model. Superb bright finished fullered blade with German maker's name: SIMSON & Co-. SUHL faint in two lines on ricasso. The fuller is running to the tip. Excellent bright polished pommel with T-slot and crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.5 mm. Crossguard is marked facing the blade 18U and GF Excellent hump back blade tang with wooden grips secured to the tang by two rivets. Grips show some wear around the rivets only.
No scabbard.
This model is very similar to the German M 71/84 bayonet. These were issued to the Spanish troops during the Spanish- Cuban- American war in 1898.
