Czechoslovakian M 1924 bayonet, made after WWII in the Communist Period by tgf. (ABCN604)(K0)(JN0)
Czechoslovakian VZ24 rifle. Minty grey parkerized fullered blade. Cutting edge up. Excellent parkerized pommel with T-O slot and crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.4 mm. Pommel is marked tgf. (= Czech letter code for Zbrojovka Brno). Parkerized crossguard is riveted to the blade tang by two rivets. Blade tang is marked: E3- Czech rampant lion - 48 (=date 1948) Excellent wooden grips, secured to the blade tang by two screw bolts. All steel blued standard CZ scabbard scabbard, marked on the frog stud: tgf E3- Rampant lion- 48 (=date 1948) and showing no dents.
During the Communist Period and only between 1948 and 1950, tgf made this VZ24 bayonet again with a muzzle ring. It was the last VZ24 variant.
