Argentine M 1909/47 carbine, 7.65 mm. Serial number F.M. 001357. Matching! on the ricasso. Superb bright finished fullered blade with Argentine crest, E.A. (=Ejectio Argentina= Army infantry) and serial number on the ricasso. D.G.F.M.(F.M.A.P.), (= Directorale General de Fabricacione Militarest - Fabrica Militar de Armas Portailes)and Sable Bayonetta, MAUSER, Mod.1909 in 4 rows on the reverse site. Excellent+ bright finished pommel with T-slot (no a T-O slot!) and perfect wooden grips without an oil hole. Crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.5 mm and a forward swept quillon.
Excellent blackened steel scabbard with an oval frog stud and a Matching serial number showing user spurs only, but no serieus dents.
In 1947 only 19.072 M 1909 carbines and bayonets were made in Argentina for the Argentine army infantry (E.A.) by de factory of Domingo Mattheu in Santa Fe (= F.M.A.P.) This model is called M 1909/47. This model is also called: M 1909 4th model.
