Argentine M 1891 Mauser Cavalry carbine Cal. 7,65 x 53 mm. Serial number: C 2636 Matching! on the ricasso. Excellent shortened fullered bright finished blade. The ricasso shows the name of the German maker: W. R. Kirschbaum over Solingen. Excellent ribbed brass grip with nicely blued external spring. Bright finished crossguard with modified and flattened muzzle ring and forward swept quillon. Excellent shortened matching blued scabbard, made from the upper part and the lower part, welted together. No dents.

Very rare bayonet. These carbine bayonets were made for the Engineers in 1931 by shortening a small number of the long M 1879 Argentine Remington bayonets. Only 5.000 were ever made!
