Swedish M 1915 Navy carbine bayonet by Carl Gustaf Stad. (ABCN1405-1)(K675)(JN181-3)
Swedish Mauser Naval carbine M 94-14. No serial number. Superb bright finished very long blade with a very narrow fuller. Blade edge is cutting up. Ricasso is marked with the Swedish maker trademark: Crown over C (= Carl Gustaf Stad, Gevärsfaktori-Eskiltuna) and another Crown inspection mark on the reverse side. Perfect blued pommel and crossguard. Crossguard with a muzzle ring, MRD 15,9 mm. and a small forward swept quillon. T-slot in pommel Catch is marked with a Swedish inspection marking. Wooden grips are fixed to the blade tang by the screw bolts. There is a small round brass plate added by two steel nails to the left grip which is marked: V b Y over 14. Vessel number? A locking device with a square push button, keeps the bayonet in its steel scabbard.
Excellent++ blued steel scabbard with a small round frog stud. Chape is marked with a Swedish inspection marking. No dents to the stel scabbard
A very rare bayonet and hard to find in this condition, According to the Swedish bayonet expert Per Holmback, only 1.040 M 1915 bayonets were ever made!
