Dutch infantry officers sword 1795 -1806. "Batavian Republic" (Napoleontic era) (JP66-1)

"Nederland Infanterie officierssabel uit de tijd van de Bataafse Republiek 1795 - 1806." / Dutch Infantry officers sword 1795 -1806 Batavian Republic era. Very good++ bright finished cruciform tapered  straight blade with traces of "Blue & Gilt"and floral motives etching. German makers trademark: S & K (= Schnitzler & Kirschbaum - Solingen. Trademark used from 1800 till 1835 ) on the ricasso. Blade is somewhat graying only. 
Beautiful gilt brass boat hilt with an intact red copper wire winded wooden grip. Straight crossguard with two quillons. Gilt brass plumed helmet pommel showing clear French, Napoleonic, influense.
No scabbard.
Total length: 97,5 cm. Width at the ricasso 1,9 cm.

Quite a rare Dutch officers sword from the time that The Netherlands were under supervision of the French Empire of Napoleon Bonaparte and before it became The Kingdom of Holland, the Reign of King Louis Bonaparte, the younger brother of Napoleon. (1806 til 1810).
