German M 1898/05 nA sawback removed bayonet. Double maker marked by DURKOPP WERKE A.G. & F.KOELLER & Co., in ersatz scabbard(ABCN806)(K258)(JN86-3)

German Mauser M 1898 Rifle and Carbine. Excellent bright finished fullered  sawback "Butcher" blade with the sawback removed. Date and cypher are also removed as usual. Ricasso is double maker marked on the ricasso by two German makers. On the right side there is the trade mark and name in a triangle of DURKOPP WERKE A.G. (Bielefeld) and on the left side (faint) F. KOELLER & Co. -OHLIGS- SOLINGEN  in three rows on the ricasso on the left side.
Excellent bright finished pommel, crossguard and quillon. Crossguard is marked with a large B. Flash guard with user spurs. One single German inspection marking on the pommel. Very good ribbed black walnut grips secured to the blade tang by screw bolts. Oil hole in grip. T-O slot in pommel.
Excellent dark blued standard scabbard with no some user spurs only but no dents. Crisp German inspection markings on throat.
