German M 1884/98 bayonet, second model. WWI. by GEBR. HARTKOPF - SOLINGEN.(ABC N 447)(JN81-2)(K 140)

Mauser M98 rifle. Excellent+ bright finished fullered blade with the German maker's name : GEBR. HARTKOPF over  SOLINGEN in three lines very crisp on the ricasso.
Prussian W over date: 16 and a inspection mark: Crown over B crisp on the blade spine. Excellent bright finished crossguard and pommel with a T-O slot and a Gothic inspection marking. 
Excellent wooden grips secured to the blade tang by screw bolts. The hilt with a dents free flash guard.
Excellent- and correct blackened WWI slightly dented scabbard with its central placed spring retaining screw. A German inspection stamp on the finial.
