Belgian M 1916/35 Infantry bayonet. (ABC N 1091-3)(JN18-2)(K 337)
Belgian Mauser Rifle M 1935 and M 1889/36 short rifle. Kal. 7.65. Serial number: 48549 on crossguard. Excellent blued double edged crudely made "fish bone" blade. Large B marking on the ricasso. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard with bushed muzzle ring: MRD 15.4 mm. Crossguard is marked: L in a box. Excellent wooden grips secured to the blade tang by two screw bolts and washers. Very good blackened metal scabbard with oval frog stud with serial number 48917. Light to moderate spots of pitting to the scabbard but no dents .
Belgium M 1889/16 Mauser bayonet made in France by Belgian makers during WWI and used as an "ersatz" bayonet during WWI. After 1918 bushed to 15.4 mm fit the 1935/36 FN rifles and carbines and reused again in WWII.! This bayonet has seen two wars!
