German (Imperial) M 1890 Artillery Officers sword by WKC. Pipe back blade and ruby eyes
German Imperial M 1890 Artillery Officers sword. Very good bright finished curved plain unusual pipe back blade, marked on the right site with a German proof mark: "Echt Eisenhauer" in a scroll. Blade shows a flaw and some light wartime edge sharpening only. Excellent brass non-detachable lion head hilt. A single P shaped hand guard and two languets. Qullion with panther head. Hand quard with floral motives. Right lanquet with two crossed cannons and left languet with a knight helmet over a Crest shield. Lion head pommel with ruby eyes. Back of the hilt with floral motives and another Crest shield, "ears" and a beautiful wooden grip covered with black celluloid and an intact complex brass wire winding.
Excellent blackened steel scabbard with a single fixed hanging ring and no dents.
Comes with its Excellent and correct genuine green officers sword knot.
An on this model seldom seen pipe back blade. A rare M 1890 lion head Artillery officers sword by WKC, (Not attributed!) which saw action in WWI, Weimar Republic and WWII.
