Venuzuelan M 1900 bayonet altered by Germany (ABCN569-3) (K0)(JN0)(Anthony Carter Volume III 93a)

German M 1888 Commision rifle. Minty bright finished fullered blade with no markings. Bright finished pommel and crossguard with hooked guillon removed and muzzle ring.  MRD 17,5. Edge of the muzzle ring is milled out to fit the barrel jacket of the M 1888 rifle. The alteration is stamped with a 4 in a diamant shape. T-slot in pommel.
Excellent wooden grips secured to the blade tang by spanner screws. The right grip is stamped near the muzzle ring with an A in a box.
Correct blackened minty scabbard with Austrian style frog stud with no dents.
