Bulgarian contract M 1888 Mannlicher bayonet. (ABCN388)(K112)(JN8-1)

Mannlicher M 1888/90 rifle Cal. 8mm. Serial number: 9774 on the crossguard. Very good+ bright finished blade with square fullers. The blade is very very fine peppered only. Right ricasso is marked: I.. Bright finished pommel and crossguard with muzzle ring. MRD 16.5 mm and fastener on top. T-slot in the pommel. There is a crisp Bulgarian Crown over F (=King Ferdinant) marking on the left crossguard. Excellent wooden grips secured to the blade tang by two rivets. Blade tang upper is marked: BO

Austrian M 1888/90 Mannlicher rifles and M 1888 bayonets, made by OEWG-Steyr, were delivered on a contract to Bulgeria around 1913/14
Not a common Bulgarian bayonet in a VGC.

No scabbard.
