Argentine M 1909/47 carbine bayonet by D.G.F.M. for the E.A.(ABCN906-3)(K288)(JN0)
Argentine M 1909/47 carbine, 7.65 mm. Serial number F.M. 004.375 Excellent+ bright finished fullered blade with the Argentine crest, E.A. (=Ejectio Argentina= Army infantry) and serial number on the ricasso. D.G.F.M.(F.M.A.P.), (= Directorale General de Fabricacione Militarest - Fabrica Militar de Armas Portailes)and Sable Bayonetta, MAUSER, Mod.1909 in 4 rows on the reverse site. Excellent+ pommel with T-slot (no a T-O slot!) . Riveted wooden grips without an oil hole. Right grip show some abuse only. Crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.5 mm and quillon.
Excellent+ parkerized scabbard with no dents. Serial number E 1474 and some inspection markings.
In 1947 only 19.072 M 1909 carbines and bayonets were made in Argentina for the Argentine army infantry (E.A.) by de factory of Domingo Mattheu in Santa Fe (= F.M.A.P.) This model is called M 1909/47 but is also called: M 1909 4th model.
