Superb curved fullered bright finished fullered blade with the German makers name C. R. Kirschbaum on the one side and Solingen (= Carl Reinhard Kirschbaum 1818 - 1862) on the reverse side of the ricasso covered by the quillons. The Dutch retailers name: A. Siebert te Amsterdam in three lines on the ricasso. The reverse side is marked with the Dutch proofmark: Eisenhauer. (in the German language.) Intact leather washer.
Excellent bright finished Berlin -Silver hilt with stirrup hand guard and forward swept quillon. Excellent ribbed wooden grip covered with black leather and a silver wire winding.
Crossguard with languets on both sides.
Excellent+ Berlin -Silver scabbard with two loose hanging rings. a few smal dents close to the drag only.
Total length: 93,5 cm. Width at the ricasso: 3 cm.
This is the officers version of the famous "Blucher type"sword. Lighter and more luxery. This example dated back to 1830
