Dutch Infantry officers sword M 1912. Heavy blade.(JP100-171)
"Nederlands infanterie officiers sabel M 1912 -Wandelsabel-" / Dutch M 1912 Infantry officers sword. Excellent++ heavy chromium plated, slightly curved fullered blade. No makers trademark. to the blade. Red felt washer is still intact.
Excellent+ gilt brass hilt with large lion head and knuckle bow. Crossguard with forward swept quillon with puma head. Most of the original gilt is still present. Excellent black ebony grip with an intact twisted brass wire winding.
Excellent plated steel scabbard with one loose hanging ring and two very small dents only.
Total length: 100 cm. Width at the ricasso: 2,7 cm!
Unusual: The blade of this sword is more heavy than normal! Also the hilt differs in details. It has a wider, longer and more bulky grip and a larger lion head pommel.
