Italian BM59 Garand conversion bayonet. (ABCN353-3)(K90)(JN 128-1)
Italian Garand B M 59 rifle. Serial number 92207 on the ricasso. Very good typical Italian plum-browned fullered US blade with a serial number on the one side and a large 80 on the reverse side. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard with muzzle ring. MRD 15.8 mm. Excellent and rare wooden grips secured to the blade tang by a single screw. Green painted leather scabbard with an American (Garand) type top mount with an integrated khaki frog and an Italian type chape. All stitches intact.
Rare and attractive bayonet.
These were used with the Italian conversion made by Baretta in 1962 of the US MI Garant rifle. This rifle was called the B M 59.
