Italian BM59 Garand conversion bayonet. (ABCN353-1)(K90)(JN 128-1)
Italian Garand B M 59 rifle. Serial number 65017 on the ricasso. Excellent parkerized fullered US blade with a serial number on the one side and a large 59 and a Arsenal mark in an oval: AEP over a crown on the reverse side. Excellent parkerized pommel and crossguard with muzzle ring. MRD 15.8 mm. Excellent and rare wooden grips secured to the blade tang by a single screw. Green painted leather scabbard with an American (Garand) type top mount with an integrated khaki frog and an Italian type chape. All stitches intact.
Rare attractive bayonet.
These were used with the Italian conversion made by Baretta in 1962 of the US MI Garant rifle. This rifle was called the B M 59.
