Indonesian Experimental Italian Garand bayonet. Long grip with three screw bolts. (ABCN 436)(K 0)(JN 0)
Italian produced Garand rifle. BM 59 ?. Excellent crudely made bright finished fullered long blade with SP. 2 & 3 (= Senapan Panjang 2 & 3= Long rifle 2 & 3) and Indonesian flower trademark (= Bandung Weapons Factory)on reverse site of ricasso. Blade with false edge and long rounded fullers. Excellent bright finished pommel with T-slot and crossguard with large thin muzzle ring. Large MRD 22 mm. Very good fine chequered long black plastic wrap around grips secured to the tang by three screw bolts. Left grip is marked with a white painted number 15. Very nice steel scabbard with the typical small round frog stud with no dents.
It comes with its post war British style khaki frog with no retaining strap as found, numbered 374 on the reserve.
Total length 384 mm. Length of the hilt 136 mm.
