England Enfield M 1853 socket bayonet. Excellent bright triangular blade maker marked: HEIGHINTON & LAWRENCE (Only LARENCE is readable) and Enfield inspection marking Crown over E over 47 on ricasso.
Modified for movie purpose. Socket of the blade is opened over the full length to allow the bayonet to be fixed on a large bore barrel. No locking ring.
