Indonesian Tjikeroeh dagger. Very good+ bright finished fullered broad klewang type blade, dated: 1922 on the ricasso and a simple etching in the fullers on both sides.
Excellent one piece round buffel horn grip with brass pommel and a brass crossguard. Beautiful crossguard with a brass clam shell and two straight quillons.

This small Indonesian dagger is made in Tjikeroeh (Cikeruh), Indonesia on Western Java. It shows clear European (Dutch) colonial influence like the brass clam shell guard. This daggers were mainly made for Dutch colonial planters as self defense weapons and form a part of history in the Dutch colonial time frame.
These are very wel made and are not very common.
