Very impressive and heavy German (Napoleonic era) troopers sword. These swords were adopted by the Prussian Heavy Cavalry in 1814 and are very similar, almost identical to the English pattern M 1796 Light Cavalry troopers sword, but are more heavy and sturdier. This feared sword became known as "The Blücher sword" named to the popular German Fieldmarshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher after the Battle of Leipzig in 1813 against the army of the French empire Napoleon Bonaparte. These swords were also used during the final battle on the battle field of Waterloo in 1815 and were carried by the Prussian Hussars, Dragoons, Lancers and Horse artillery a.o.!
The M 1811 HC troopers sword was adopted in 1814 and replaced in 1848.

An important sword with a great history in an Excellent condition!

(Note: Trein=Train=Tros means: Mounted division, responsable for the transportation of war equipment in the front line: (Hospital tents, field kitchens, bakeries, butcheries, ammunition etc.) A very dangerous job!.)

New addition. Pictures will follow soon.
