US M16 and AR-15 rifle. Minty parkerized blade with a false edge. Parkerized M7 pommel riveted to the hilt. Two piece black checkered grip, fixed to the blade tang by two screw bolts. Parkerized crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 22 mm. Crossguard is marked: US M7 over GEN-CUT (= General Cutlery Company, Fremont -OHIO).
Comes with its black M10 scabbard, marked: M10 ASSY 8448476 over MFG 2V376, black woven nylon integral frog with a retaining strap and a US belt hooks. Tip with a lace hole and lace.
GEN-CUT made the No7 Type II bayonet and the M10 scabbard in the fiscal year 1985 till 1990.
