CZ M1958 assault rifle. Serial number: 146 on the ricasso. Excellent- parkerized single edged blade with a false edge. Tip shortened to fit the special scabbard. Serial number on the ricasso. The reverse side is marked: 1143 U.  Parkerized grip with a two piece reddish brown beech particleboard grip, secured to the short blade tang by three rivets. Mortise slot close to the crossguard and catch on the crossguard. Crossguard with a quillon.

This is the second model with a quillon and a short blade tang and three rivets of this interesting bayonet. This one comes in its green vinyl scabbard for use with the VZ–58 bayonet in nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) warfare environments. This special scabbard was necessary due to the difficulties encountered with decontaminating the absorbent all-leather scabbard, once exposed to toxic agents.
