German (Prussian) M 1849 Artillery Enlisted dress sword. Weimar Republic Reichswehr. Beautiful bright finished curved blade, deep etched on both sides. Red felt washer intact. Right side shows a mounted charging officer with a Stahl helmet, followed by: 6.(Preußisches) Artillerie Regiment in a box followed by a horse head. The left side shows a riding out Artillery group. Floral motives an two crossed swords. Blade spine with floral motives. Bright finished non detachable steel hilt (Not plated!) with a single P shaped hand guard and two languets. Dove head pommel. Back of the hilt with riveted "ears" and a wooden grip covered with black celluloid and an intact complex copper wire winding.
Excellent blackened steel scabbard with a single fixed hanging ring and no dents.
Comes with a genuine and rare German Imperial NCO cavalry sword knot. (Faustriemen). Excellent silver wire sword knot with orange core. Creamy color crown and stem. The brown knurled leather strap shows wear.
It was used in the Imperial are and during the Weimar Republic.

The 6.(Preußisches) Artillerie Regiment was based in Minden - Nordrhein Westfalen.
