German (Prussian) M 1849 Fusilier-Cadet dress sword. Weimar Republic /WWII. Excellent nickel plated curved blade with German makers trademark: Knight helmet over W.K.C. (= Weyersberg -Kirschbaum & & Co. Trademark used from 1930) crisp on the ricasso. Some small scrathses and dings to the blade edge only. Red leather washer intact. Excellent non detachable brass hilt, with a single P shaped hand guard and two languets. Dove head pommel. No ears to the back of the hilt. Beautiful wooden grip covered with black fish skin and an intact twisted silver wire winding.
Excellent blackened steel scabbard with a single loose hanging ring and no dents.
Very nice, rather small brass hilted Fusilier type sword for a Cadet. Must be made after 1930 and used during the Weimar republic era (1919-1933) and during WWII.
