Dutch Ceremonial Marine Corps bayonet scabbard only for M 1962 FN FAL model C.(ABCN97-1)(K12)(JN0)

This bayonet scabbard has been designed for the Dutch Royal Marines and was used during parades with the Belgian made FN FAL Model C. socket bayonet.  
The frog matches the KNIL inspired, spike helmet parade uniform. The near Mint blackened metal full dress scabbard has an unique large black leather frog fixed to the scabbard with two brass rivets. Scabbard is marked with a capital: B.

It was  designed by the well known military designer Mr. J. F. H. Th. Smits who also was responsable for the design of the Dutch Royal Air Force sword M 1955, the Air Force dirk M 1964 and the Police officer sword M 1966. 
Made in Belgium for the Netherlands on a very limited base.
