Description
Mauser M 1893 kal. 7mm 5 shots. s# AZ 1668 on crossguard. Excellent bright fullered blade with ARTILLERIA, FABRICA de TOLEDO, and 18? in three lines in a box on ricasso. Excellent bright polished pommel and thick crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.5 mm, Crossguard is marked 23 facing the blade. Straight back hilt with wooden grips secured to the tang by screws. Excellent black leather scabbard with clear tools and bright fittings with no dents. Serial number 0296 on top mount.
These bayonets were issued to the Spanish troops during the Spanish- Cuban- American war in 1898.
This is the second model with the screwed on grips.
