"Nederlands Marine Klewang M 1912. "/ Dutch Naval/ Marine klewang/Cutlass M 1912. Excellent++ deep blued fullered klewang blade with clip point. The ricasso is crisp marked with the Dutch makers name: HEMBRUG and a large 4. A Dutch inspector marking Crown over B. on the reverse ricasso. Excellent wide open blued steel hand guard. The detachable hilt is marked with a small Dutch inspection marking: Crown over B.  
Excellent+ two piece wooden grip secured to the blade tang by three brass rivets. Left scale is marked with a large 4. Pommel screw is marked Crown over B. Sword knot slit in the upper part of the guard.
Excellent and correct early dark brown tooled leather naval scabbard. All stitches intact. Integral sword frog permanent attached to the scabbard body by 8 steel rivets. Large belt loop. An asymmetrical shape of the internal brass chape. There is a brass plate attached to the reverse side of the belt loop, marked with a  number:  1 

Length 74,5 cm, Width 3,5 cm.
Excellent++ early and rare Dutch naval/ Marine klewang! Made before WWII. First after WWII the were K.M. (= Koninklijke Marine) marked.
