"Nederlands Indische (K.N.I.L. )  Cavalerie Manschappen sabel M 1846" / Dutch Indies (K.N.I.L.) Cavalry troopers sword M 1846. Rack number: 10 on the handguard. Superb bright finished curved  fullered long blade The ricasso shows a crisp Dutch Inspector marking: Crown over W. (= Jacques Wilmart 1860-61) Excellent detachable bright finished hilt, with 2 side bars only and a fine ribbed wooden grip covered with black horse leather. The back of the hilt shows another crisp Dutch inspector marking: Crown over a script B. (= L. Brossois) Top of the hand guard with a slit for a sword knot. Inside of the guard is marked with the Dutch retailers name and residence: NED.WAPENMAGAZIJN over HAARLEM.
No scabbard.
