Dutch Cavalry officers sword M 1854 by S. de Jager te Haarlem.(JP 79-119)

'Nederlands Cavalerie M 1854 Officierssabel" / Dutch M 1854 Cavalry Officer's sword. Superb curved fullered bright finished blade. Retailers name and residence: S. de Jager te Haarlem in a scroll on the right ricasso and the Dutch quality proof mark Eijzerhouwer in a scroll on the left side.
Excellent bright finished steel two bar hilt with a hand guard. Top of the pommel with an old repair only. An intact leather vinger loop, secured to the hilt by a screw. Excellent wooden grip covered by gray ray skin. This sword model never had a wire winding on the grip.
Excellent bright finished steel scabbard with a saddle ring on top only. The scabbard is graying somewhat only, but no staining or pitting what so ever and no dents. 
Total lengt : 98 cm Width at the ricasso: 2.8 cm

This is a M 1854. The leather finger loop was added around 1854 and after 1859 the two loose hanging rings of the scabbard were normally replaced by a single fixed (saddle) ring.
