British .303 No.5 Jungle carbine MK1 and MK2. Excellent bright finished fullered Bowie type blade. First 1.0 cm blackened. British makers trademark: W.S.C. (= WILKINSON SWORD COMPANY ) and its dispersal code: S 294 crisp on the ricasso. Bend test mark, /I\ and an unreadable marking on the reverse side. Blackened pommel with circular mortise slot and clearance hole. Excellent wrap around 2 parts wooden grip secured by two screw bolts. Blackened crossguard with muzzle ring: MRD 22 mm

Comes with its minty lightweight jungle green webbing belt frog, proofed for wear in the Far East. Two loops on one site and a retaining loop. Eyelet for No. 4 bayonet. Reverse side is stamped: M. W. & S. Ltd. 1946 /I\ (= M. Wright & Sons. Ltd. 1946), /I\ over AF 0261.
These frogs were not delivered before the end of the war and used in Java, Korea, Maylaya, Kenya and minor wars in the East.
