Dutch naval officer ceremonial M 1882 sword belt, over coat model.

Very good black fabric belt with gilt borders. The inside is black leather. Fabric straps with black leather inside, gilt borders and a gilt brass hanging hook. A gilt brass round two piece buckle showing a Dutch rampant lion in a crowned shield over two loose anchors. The belt size is now ca 106 cm but is adjustable til ca. 120 cm
This sword belt is carried by all ranks of Dutch naval officers. This model was used with the M 1843 and M 1882 Naval officers sword..  

Older belt, Made around 1920. Much of the gilt borders is fainting now. Still an attractive belt for reenactment or other sword display
