Czechoslovakian M 1924 bayonet, made after WWII (ABCN604)(K0)(JN0)
Czechoslovakian VZ24 rifle. Superb dark blued fullered blade. Cutting edge up. Ricasso is marked CSZ over H. Excellent dark blued finished pommel with T-O slot and crossguard with muzzle ring: MRD 15.4 mm. Dark blued crossguard is riveted to the blade tang by two rivets. Blade tang is marked: E3- Czech rampant lion - 48 (=date 1948) Excellent wooden grips, secured to the blade tang by two screw bolts. Excellent all steel blued standard CZ scabbard scabbard, marked on the frog stud: Z in a rifle bore (= Commercial Trademark of BRNO) E3 - Czech rampant lion - 48 (=date 1948) and showing no dents.
Comes with its Excellent+ dark brown leather frog as found, marked on the reversed side: VPS in an oval.
Both bayonet and scabbard are showing the same date: 1948.
After WWII, starting 1946, the Czech made the VZ 24 bayonet again with a muzzle ring till 1948. From 1948 till 1950 the Russians took over the manufacture and marked the bajonet tgf. It was the last VZ24 variant.
