Vintage German Hunter's knife by Jul Herbertz Solingen
Vintage German hunter's knife made by JUL HERBERTZ, Solingen. Excellent plain Bowie style bright blade with false edge. German maker's name JUL HERBERTZ and SOLINGEN in two lines on ricasso. Detachable hilt. Brass crossguard and round alloy pommel screwed on the blade tang. Detachable genuine one piece stag horn grip fit between leather washers. Excellent brown leather scabbard with all stitches intact.
Very early hunter's knife from a famous and very old Solinger knife company. Total lenght 21 cm. Width at the ricasso 2 cm.
