Belgian Police officers sword / Belgian Home Guard officers sword. Around 1850. Rack number: 113 on the outside of the guard near the quillon. Superb bright finished slightly curved blade with two fullers. A broad fuller and another narrow fuller more close to the blade spine. Leather washer intact. Very good Berlin Silver hilt with a hand guard, three side bars and a forward swept quillon. Rack number near the quilln, another rack number has been removed. Opening in top of the hand guard for a sword knot. There is a small tear to the most outside bar only. Excellent dark brown horn grip missing its wire winding.
Excellent black tooled leather scabbard with a not affecting single nick only. Beautiful Berlin-Silver fittings with no dents. Top mount fixed to the leather body with a central screw holding a single loose hanging ring. Throat is numbered: 3 .
