Austrian Mannlicher rifle M 1895. Ersatz bayonet. Excellent, but crudely made "edge up" blade with no markings. The blade is 90º twisted to the right. The blued flat tang is marked: L. It has a hook shaped "crossguard" with a square muzzle ring top. (MRD 15,3 mm ) fixed by two round rivets. The left side of the crossguard ring is marked: L The flat leave spring underneath the tang has a square edge and is also hold by the two rivets holding the crossguard. The rounded leave spring is longer as the hilt.
Comes with its correct wartime Feldgrau painted Austrian M 1895 scabbard with no dents. Frog stud is marked OEWG and has an Austrian Crest.
One of the many interesting variations of the Austro-Hungarian made Ersatz bayonets of WWI made around 1917.
