Hungarian Mannlicher M35 an M1943 rifle/ PM M1939/43 Serial number: A-39764 on crossguard. Cavalry model. Excellent- bright finished double edged blade with a central rib. First cm blackened. There is some little and very fine peppering to the blade only. Not very serieus. Massive blackened crossguard with a French style catch. Crisp Hungarian crest on crossguard. Muzzle ring MRD 15,2 mm. Cavalry sight on muzzle ring. Excellent one piece cylindrical wooden grip. Round steel pommel.
Excellent oliv green painted steel scabbard. Dents free, but some user spurs only. Hungarian crest on frog stud.
A- serial number indicates bright finished made before 1940. After 1940 all M 1935 bayonets were made blackened or send back to the arsenal and blackened. This one survived.
Scarce cavalry PM bayonet. These were made in limited numbers and are not easy to find. .
