Austro-Hungarian M 1888 bayonet by OEWG. Unit marked.(ABCN388-1)(K112)(JN98-1)

Austrian Mannlicher rifle M 1888 Kal. 8 mm. Serial number on the crossguard. (hard to read) Excellent bright finished fullered blade. Cutting edge downwards. Ricasso is marked with the Austrian makers trademark: OEWG and the reverse side with an Austrian Crest.  Excellent bright finished pommel and bright finished crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 16.5 mm. and fastener on the top. The reverse side of the crossguard is Austrian Unit marked: 23. R. 49. (= 23th. Infantry Regiment: Markgraf von Baden - Garrison: Budapest, rifle number: 49.) Very good wooden grips riveted to the blade tang. 
Excellent blackend steel scabbard with some user spurs only but no dents. Frog stud with trademark of Austrian maker: V.&N. (= Vogel & Noot) and an Austrian Crest.

Austrian M 1888 bayonets are becoming harder to find!
